I recently received 2 more 31in crt computer monitors. Now they were both mint in appearance but while transporting them back one took a face plant in the truck bed. Now there are some scratches on the glass. Damn it!!! So I took them home and the one that looks good powers up and shuts down immediately not sure if its the power button or an issue with the chassis. The other with the scratches works fine. Im hoping I can swap the tube or even just the chassis and revive the other toss the scratched tube and use the other for parts down the road.

I'm wondering if this is something i can accomplish quickly or if its gonna be time consuming bitch.

See the article in my sig, but if you're doing direct tube swap thats pretty easy, despite those gateway 31" monitors being a BEAST!! (We had one in our conference room at work).

FYI - those monitors are prone to cap failures just like arcade monitors. Do some googling and youll find the fix.
