Hey all. I was looking to find and bump an older thread to ask this question. But I couldn't find one. Figured I'd start this for my question today and for others looking to confirm tube swap candidates in the future.

Anyways. I picked up this Sanyo 25" for free couple days ago and finally got the readings. V 1.7 H 6.0. The 6.0 is a little too low for k7000, right? Is there any other 25" chassis that would fit the bill? I would not rule out the universal chassis if that would work. Maybe a yoke swap? I'll include a picture of the neck. I've seen in the past that some tubes won't accept just any yoke based on how deep the tube is.

6.0 is a bit low for K7000, but I believe it will work, i'm scanning my notes, be right back.

**EDIT**

So my test 25" tube has a 7ohm vertical yoke and it works fine. See some notes in this thread.

6Ohms might work for a 7000, but is more on the Kortek clone size.

Basically, give it a shot and see. I believe typical is 10-15ish for vertical, but you'll see right away if you can't get the vertical size or position correct. Long term, who knows; you can also swap it for regular K7000 yoke. Also my notes say i've put a 7000 on a 5.0 vertical yoke and it works so....

@DuffCon Thanks for the links! I'll give it a shot. For now, it'll go back in the pile. But this is encouraging! Was more concerned about what I was gonna do with a 25" TV taking up space if it wasn't going to be a candidate down the line.

Just finished trying this similar swap right now.

Original was a Makvision chassis/tube with pincushion adjustment on remote.
1.7 ohms
6.8 ohms

Vertical size way too small. As I'm adjusting it bigger, more and more "lines" started to show. Adjusted the 50/60 pot to compensate.

It works, but my problem is that I have pincushion issues. Unlike the Makvision, the K7000 doesn't have pincushion adjustment unless I can find that special chassis with the pincushion daughter board.
