well i picked up a 19in television off C.L. for free intent on trying this. first thing i did was check the impedence of the yoke, did not match to any chassis i had. so i decided to try a k4600 on this project. first thing i did was take the old T.V. apart. plenty of connectors and wires left to salvage. discharged the tube and pulled the neck board off. marked the rings to be to be put back on later, pulled the yoke and was rolling along. next i grabbed the k4600 yoke and set it where i thought would be close to the old one, then proceeded to hook everything up. flipped it on expecting the whole thing to just blow up, but instead i got a picture of centipede, good deal. the green was max out and not adusting so i thought this might be something with the swap, anyway i was adusting the sync for a clean picture and POP! picture was complety out of sync and would not come back, at that point i was alittle irratated to say the least,it was my last XY card i had that was working, took me about an hour to repair the card and try again, hooked it back up and adusted it to a good picture again. it looked alright besides the green which would not adjust, i thought maybe its the chassis so i pulled the neck board again and took out the green drive transistor and that was it got a good picture now minus the green which i will fix this weekend, time permitting.
