Tube Swap and Yoke readings - How close is close enough?

So I have a broken WG7602. The neck is crushed. Supposedly working when I got it never had a chance to try (unfortunate transportation incident :<).

I pulled the chassis cleaned capped etc.

Now I have a candidate for a tube swap after today's trip to the Salvation Army.

The ohms don't match exactly. I wanted to try a swap without changing the yoke this time.

So how close is close enough? Any chance the below will work?

Original 12.6 vs 14.2 and 2.3 vs 3.3 ?

I'm gonna swap no matter what and if someone says no way will it work I'll just go straight to the yoke swap. But if its close enough in some folks experience I'm game try try without the yoke swap!

if the replacement is slightly higher, itll work, but pic may not be large enough, or you may have pincushion issues.

slightly higher ohms is usually ok, its going to slightly lower when you really have issues blowing stuff up lol..

personally i would give it hell and see what you get.

You know if I can hook this up to a centipede? I know its more the kind you put in a jamma cabinet with different frequency, but will it work in an old cabinet too? I mostly just have g07's and 4900's.

Centipede is the easiest one I have to test it with.

Try them!

I'd try them both.. Your usually save between 3 ohms either way.

I just swapped my first 25" tv donor tube tonight!! It's a perfect match to a k7000!!!!

It shouldn't matter what game you hook it up to 99% of the time as long as you have the original chassis. The monitor doesn't know whether it is in a classic or a newer game but some boards are a little finicky with some monitors.

Personally, I think your values are close enough. go for it. You should double check your tube for compatibility with the original tube by using the reference chart on ionpool.net

i would also look over the neck board real good and make sure the traces are good.

and re-flow all the transistors. they can pop the traces pretty easy after a good necking.

Checked over the neckboard no cracked solder or board -- Good tip though!

I didn't swap the yoke (did have to swap the connector though) and its looks great!

So in this case looks like it was close enough!

Pics attached!

Salvation Army I look a couple times a week for 19 inch tv's that was the first "thin" one I've found. Most seem to be 20's glad I have my flashlight! The wife wants some books so we make a quick trip on the weekend and sometimes I check at lunch during thee week.

I have been paying 9.99 when I get them there so I don't wanna waste to much cash grabbing anything so I spend my time with the flashlight and don't but its its not a a48 or 19 or I can't see

Haven't found any free ones on the curb yet! I hate to drive all over for a single Craig's list one -- unless its really close I don't think its worth it.

I did find a few at a flea markets about a month ago. no CR31's though. I'm betting those are newer since the one I got was from a 2004 TV

they'll be getting to good will soon Black Friday and Christmas are coming -- I'm sure more old TV's will be going!

both of you guys, do us all a huge favor and post the numbers from the tube and also the brand and model of tv you robbed that tubes/yoke assys from please.
