Okay. These are the things you need to check when swapping a tube:
a) the new tube must have the exact same number of pins on the neck as the old tube.
b) the "key" on the neck of the old tube must match the "key" of your neck socket. The "key" is the plastic around the focus pin. Some tubes like the K7000 have a different sized key than the G07's, 4600's, 4900's etc.
c) the diameter of the neck on the new tube must be the same size as the old tube. otherwise your yoke won't sit properly.
Now, all of the above can usually be checked by seeing what type CR adapters is required for the particular tube number. You can check the list here:
http://www.bkprecision.com/support/downloads/pdfs/CRT_Setup_Chart.pdf
The tube normally found on the G07's, K4600's, and K4900's is a 19VJTP22. According to the chart in the link above, this uses a CR-23 adapter. So, if your new tube also uses a CR-23 adapter, then it will work as a donor tube. Usually, if the neckboard plugs on okay, then the tube will work.
However, there is one more thing to check:
d) If you check your old tube, you'll find somewhere on the back of the tube some raised numbers (you can feel them molded into the glass of the tube) that will say either 90 or 100. This is the deflection number. Your new tube must have the same number, otherwise your toke won't sit properly against the tube, and you'll have constant degauss and convergence issues.
And as was mentioned before, this is for swapping the tube only. The chassis must match the yoke, and most TV yokes aren't compatible with the chassis. Keep the centering rings that come with the TV (unless they are part of the yoke), mark their position before removing, pull off the TV yoke and put on the arcade yoke, reinstall the centering rings to their original position, and install your chassis.
If I forgot something, I'm sure Ken will add it...
