Went over to a local tv shop that repairs crt's and re-sells them. The guy actually didnt know anything about arcades or the fact that you could swap a tv tube into one but know a lot about tvs. So i explain to him that i'm looking for old 19" tv's, one with 8 pins for my g07 and one with 9 pins for my 4600. So he walks over to a pile of tv's people had just dropped of to trade in for a newer tv and points to a old woodgrain zenith 19" tv and says "that should probably work lets go take the back off and see what the pins are." so he unscrews the back i pull off the neckboard and what do ya know, its a 9pin. So with one tube down i start looking for a another tv for the g07 but didnt see anything that would work. He tells me i can have the 9pin tv for free and to come back in a month and look again for the 8pin, he was going to throw this tv out, he only had it since somebody traded it in for something newer. i know this tube will work, i just found the same tube# 2-3 months ago in a different tv and it's current working in my pole position. the only bad thing about it is the yoke assembly and purity rings are all one piece, i'll have to put a new purity ring assembly on and dial it in.

Huh, i'll go look at my g07 again, maybe a pin broke off and i didnt know it...i just thought 8 was standard for g07. When i got it, it was dead, maybe this is why.

Maybe not... A few months ago I used this exact same tube, with the yoke that came from the monitor, as a drop-in replacement for a W-G 19K4603. Worked like a charm.

W-G 19K4603 - screen burn positively identified its history in a Sega "Carnival".
W-G CRT: label had fallen off; likely a 19VJTP22 based on the 4600-series PDF/manual.
W-G Yoke ID #s/markings: "2021110810 / ZIJT / Made in Japan".
W-G Yoke measurements: 4603's yoke measured 3.9 ohm horizontal / 9.4 ohm vertical (DC resistance)

TV: A Zenith SS1909S "Space Command" TV, ca. 1990, which looked very much like yours, and your Zenith chassis# of SD1915W is pretty darn close to mine.
TV CRT: Zenith G-A48ACB02X
TV yoke measurements: The TV's tube came with a yoke that measured 4.4 ohm / 9.7 ohm.

The original W-G yoke was saved for future use, the original CRT was scrapped, and the TV's CRT functioned great when just dropped into the chassis with the TV's yoke still attached. No magnet-fiddling required.

What are the resistances of the yoke windings in your 4600-series monitor's chassis, and the resistances of the windings on the CRT's yoke? If they're within 10%, as mine were, it might just be a drop-in replacement.

You sir are correct.

Measured my WG4602 v=8.3 h=3.2

Zenith Tube v=8.5 h=3.2

i should be able to drop this directly into it without swapping yokes. Both are 10 pin. i think we can say that Zenith 19" space command model is a definite swap for a WG4600 series

i still have the G07 problem though...i definitely have 9 pins, and when my camera battery recharges i'll upload a picture.(i mis-counted earlier when i said 8, i didnt count the one inside of the trapezoid)

Edit: Pic attached

dooodde!!

nice!! keep that tv dude happy..

i hope that yoke works out for ya.. would be sweet if you found a good easy plug and play swap there..

Strange. there should be another pin on the end on the right side, but there's not even a hole there.

Does the tube have a sticker telling you the tube number?

That is the same as my Med. Res. K4915 only 9 pins on tube but socket has 10. If you look at the schematic only 8 pins are actually used.

No tube# but i have run no 38-g07904-30 and sn#8434 200....a different sn# on the frame is ur00425

That doesn't matter. chassis matches the yoke. frame is irrelevant. if the tube doesn't have 10-pins and the g07 won't work on it, that's probably why...

So i can use a regular 10 pin tube as a replacment then?

Yes. The original 19VJTP22 tube used in the G07 is 10 pin.
If you look at the G07 socket there is no contact in the CRT connector on 4 and 12. Only 8 pins are used.

Used pins are.
1 , 5 , 7 -Grids
6 - Green Gun
8 - Red Gun
11 - Blue Gun
9 , 10 - Heater

Today I scored a Zenith F1910B. It has a 10-pin CRT in it. Yoke (still connected) measures at 6.4 Ohms vert (white/yellow) and 2.6 Ohms (blue/red).

Forgot to mention, I got this by posting a 'wanted' ad on the local Freecycle Yahoo group. The lady responded the same day, and I picked it up today!
