Picked up a Cr-23 tube at good will today for $11.....

Yoke
red/blue 3.4
green/yellow 56.2

G07 Yoke
red/blue 2.3
green/yellow 54.3

looks like this might work for a g07-cbo drop in....

You will have to alter the connector, because the G07 uses an odd connector, but I say try it and see. Then report back with your findings.

Are you sure the original is a G-07......G-07's don't use red/green/yellow/blue wires....well, they use red.

Even though 1 ohm doesn't seem like a lot.....you're talking about a 30% difference.

i just used b,r,y,g to symbolize the same thing, you are correct.

hopefully i can adjust out the difference.

That's all fine and dandy ohms will get you close but isn't the best way to match up a yoke compatibility for a chassis. and really can be waaay off vs real specs. best to port over your original g07 yoke to that tube.. the key is inductance reading of the yoke, not ohms.. not saying that yoke will not work for you.. it may.

Yup, I just had a Hantarex MTC9000.....B+ was dragging down...bouncing around between 65-75VDC. Total ass kicker. Everything in the power supply section looked good....high voltage section looked good. It turned out to be a bad yoke. Strangely enough, I had already ohmed out the yoke. It matched a working one perfectly. I finally threw my ringer on the yoke and saw it was off from the working one.

only problem i see is trying to find a g07 yoke connector...maybe somebody had a failing yoke i can steal one off of. i definitely want to try it.

Fudd...PM me your address. I have a few busted g07 yokes I can pull a connector off of. I'll get it in the mail to you. Just Fudd. I need a few for myself.

.....and yes, the yokes are physically broken so I have no problem robbing them.

got the connector from Komodo today, thanks again...how should i go about connecting it? the yellow/green is my 55ohm from the tv....are yellow/green swappable or is there only 1 spot to put each?

she works, tv's a drop in replacement for G07...obviously i need to make some adjustment but that shouldnt be a problem......if i could only find 10 more of these tv's :) the color is outstanding.

That's great to know. I forgot who has the list but you really need to contact the guy and have this TV added to it.

I think the guy's user name is Orion something...

This chart has a pretty comprehensive listing of tubes, their heater voltages, and the pinouts of their neck sockets.

CR31's have 8 pins. (thin neck)

CR23's have 10. (fat neck)

These two are the most commonly found necks in 19" monitors.

If your monitor chassis has a neckboard with a socket with 8 pin holes: CR-31. 10 pin holes: CR-23

Orion has a pretty nice page here that has lots of good swap info.

What!! All that time we spent at Crabtowne and you can't get my name right??...sheesh (kidding).

Added this and a few others people sent in to the list - its growin!

Thanks Fudd (and Daxwell)!

(ps its good to get pics of these...I'm going to try to incorporate them into the site as well, I just need to fix up the format of the list a little)

Another question..... Can I use a 19" chassis on a 25" monitor tube as long as I match CR-23 to Cr-23 and such.

FYI - I posted a link a few days ago in the monitor section here...there's a source in Philly giving away 400+ 25" tvs from a hotel...I think you can find a donor tube amongst them. I could try to grab a couple and bring em to the crabtowne meet...maybe.
