This thing looks pretty interesting, but I'm not sure about the price. Does anyone know what these things go for? Is it a good game and good for home use? I see there are a couple for sale here in Chicago and wonder if I should go look at them.

"Deluxe Video Game / Motion Simulator manufactured by Tsunami Visual Technologies. Each simulator includes 3 different game titles. Perfect for an Arcade or for your "Man Cave". We have multiple available for sale. Some with the "bubble" around the seat, some without (see pictures). All are fully functioning. These cost over $17,000 new. Buyer responsible for pick-up."

I have the stand up arcade version Not the sit down motion version as that thing is. That seems to be the bigger of the two motion's as the smaller version "Tsumo Jr." didn't have the bubble.

Anyways my guess is it's a basic setup with the 3 basic games that came with it. Air Raid, Mechwarrior 4, and Crimson Sky's are the three basic ones.

The add on games from what little I've read were fairly expensive to buy. You were better off buying a different arcade for the price to add on a game.

The only thing with mine is it needs a VGA monitor. The uVC (universal video convertor) has malfunctioned. If your really wanting something like that to put in your own arcade I could part with mine. As of right now it's doing nothing but collecting dust until I can track down a fair priced VGA monitor or the uVC.

We have one on the game floor and I can not recommend it for home use. It gets a fair amount of play in an arcade because it is "different" and it has motion. Be aware that when the motion base fails, it fails catastrophiocally. It will litterally tear itself apart.
I tried contacting Tsunami for six months for parts info and then let my parts distributor try for another month with zero replies and zero luck. I had to have the parts machined by a friend who is a machinist. He has been machining for 30 years and can build almost everything. Even with that, he had difficulty sourcing the correct parts to fix the base and had to make some concessions.

Sooo, after the rant, if you like the games and don't really care for the motion it makes a nice "still" motion platform. Just my 2 cents... ;)

tsumo

I have the Tsumo motion jr. The picture is better on the 39" than the larger screen. My opinion is it is way over priced, I got mine for $250.(complete and fully working) The games can be found usually for free or trade from people on this forum. I have most of the games and can tell you how to obtain the permenant codes for play over the 30 day trial period. True, it did sell for $20,000 plus back in 1999, but today the larger games can be had for next to nothing. It is extremely heavy ( for stability of the motion) and it uses a large amount of amps to power the motors (at least a dedicated 20amp circuit). I enjoy my game and would recommend it if you get it at a good price.

Tsunami Motion

I got my Tsunami Motion for $200 at an auction, It had 4 games on it, and "paid" to have the other games and rides put on. It now has 7 games and 6 rides. It was sopose to get the 7th ride but all it had was a directory (the Volcano rollercoaster) He sent me the files to put in the dir but the serial # from the others didnt work. Im interested on how to activate it or get the disk or install files to re-install it. Im also looking for a parts machine... one of my motion control boxes (1 of 6) went bad, so now one motor doesnt work.
Tsunami went out of business last month also

As far as activation goes, I tried to contact the company on that, and all emails from the tsumo website are null. So needless to say I have no way / idea on how to get around the trial editions.

WTB game cd's and motors

Has anyone managed to find game cd's, drive clones, or spare parts for this game?

I am need of any and all of the above.

I purchased a game in "great condition" and found out it was not so great..

I am willing to help others if I can offer it.

Tsunami Motion

I have a clone drive, I paid $600 for it, it has all 7 games on it and 6 rides. I dont know how the serial numbers work. For instance, some game serials are derived from the pc's serial (or something like that). I am very interested in seeing if my "cloned" hard drive works in another Tsunami computer, Im located near Cincinnati ohio.

Too bad we are not closer, I would like to see if your "cloned" harddrive would work on another machine too.

Would save me having to try and clone mine that only has 3, incase it happens to decide it's life is up.

What size drive is your clone?

I have a full motion machine, the large one with buble
at my shop for sale
with all working parts in Arlington Texas

Picked one up last year at an auction. It is pretty pretty cool. I have Crimson Skies, Beach Head, Exzeus, and Air Raid. It seemed to be very tempermental at first ( slow to boot up, freeze up during play, sound would boot up randomly). I have a walk out basement so the base wasn't too big a deal. The base alone weighs around 1100 lbs. Kids like it and seems to be a cool novelty. I am in Cincinnati wouldn't mind seeing if the cloned drive would boot up but hate taking mine apart while it is working. I heard Tsunami went out of business this year so that might explain why they don't respond. Mine had a broken ball and socket joint. You can buy those at Grainger and weld them in depending on the type of connector you have.

Looking for Tsumo's parts --try here

I understand that some one worry about if their Tsumo's parts broken , the whole motion base can't function normal again. I have some original Tsumo spare parts.

spare parts like :

1.Black Bellow ( like skirt ),
2.Pushrod ( Right hand and left hand , mechnical one have a bearing on it )
3.footrest cover ( foam that where your feet lay on )
4.Black socket ( the motor side connector that on the cable connect the motor and control box )
5.Black belt ( between pully and potentionmeter)
6.potemtionmeter
7. Bule bubble.

Spare parts in the list for sell , PM me,
Spare parts not in the list but as long as it is Tsumo's parts , POST it .
