Alright, lets see if anybody can chime in. I really want to get the monitor on my Popeye fixed soon... So heres the scoop:

Monitor shows no video.
I have a working PCB.
I have neck glow and power to the monitor
I have 108 on the B+
Has not been capped.
When switch flipped into test mode, it gives a bright white line on the screen
Wiggling the connector does nothing.

Help?? :(

Cap it sir....

Do what I do - take it over to Chris's house along with a couple case of beer. The next morning you'll wake-up with some handcuff bruises, a new hair color, and an achy backside, but the chassis will be fixed....

I always wondered how you got your monitors fixed...

WTF? Where did you pull that quote from? Wow.

You forgot already? I seem to recall a monitor repair post way back when, where you saw this, and sometime later had a fixed monitor....

1. LMAO! (Mod)
2. Cap it, and while you have the chassis out inspect it closely for hairline cracks, especially around the vertical transistors.
