Hey guys,
I am trying to score a 1985 Konami Kicker arcade board. (A.K.A. Shao Lin's Road)
I have seen the Marquee, & I have seen the Side art, But does anyone ever remember if it had a matching bezel, & CPO?

Normally most kit games would have a Marquee, & maybe a matching Bezel, with a Generic side art & matching generic CPO.
I am just trying to collect all that I can for this game to make it somewhat complete.

I'm just trying to see if any of ya still Remember 1985/86 & this game.
I know its wasn't that popular, but I'm just taking a shot in the dark.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

It almost certainly had a CPO. Every Konami kit I ever came across had one. The CPO is usually the absolute hardest conversion part to come across. It ALWAYS got used in the conversion.

you were right TBBK.

I just found somewhat an image of one, but its hard to make out.

The search continues.

Thank you.

I don't believe Kicker came with bezel art but it did come with a bezel instruction card. Here is a pic of my Kicker cab when I first got it, before it was cleaned up:

Mine is a Stern conversion (was originally a Scramble) and it has a Super Cobra bezel with the Kicker instruction card. I believe Kicker conversions typically just used a plain black bezel with the instruction card.

Fun little beat 'em up game but it's too easy on default/marathon settings. I had the record for a few years with 20,350,000, done over 16 hours at Funspot in 2008. Greg Laue did a 36-hour marathon on it for a Twin Galaxies event in Ottumwa about a year ago and pushed it up to around 46 million I think. He can have it; I have no interest in doing long marathons anymore.

The only way to play is Twin Galaxies Extreme Settings (TGES), in my opinion. 2 lives to start, 1 bonus life at 50,000 points, and "Hardest" difficulty. I still hold the arcade record on TGES with 1,958,000, although I know others have scored higher on MAME and I think one guy even busted 2 mil on his 1st guy and killed it off. I may get back to playing TGES one of these days to see how high I can go. It is still an okay challenge with only three lives.

By the way, I have a spare Kicker board set that has a sprite problem but is 100% working otherwise. Likely just a bad ROM that needs reburned or replaced. I see you live in Hillsboro. I'm having an Repair/Arcade party this coming Saturday and a friend from Hillsboro is planning on coming up. Do you know Ken House? If so, you're welcome to my spare board and I can send it back with him. I think I have a spare marquee too. There is no source for the side art, CPO, or bezel instruction card that I know of. Hell, I'm even open to selling you my Kicker if you're interested. I don't play it much anymore and I'd rather open up that spot for something else. It looks much nicer now. CPO was thoroughly cleaned, buttons replaced, a small black credit switch was installed discreetly on the front, and it has new yellow T-molding. Also, player start buttons were installed on the front and the CP was rewired to accommodate them. (Scramble didn't have those.)

I parted out a tested working Kicker and have all the parts available if you are interested. I'm pretty sure it looks similar to the pictures someone else posted.

Actually, I didn't exactly part it out, I was deconverting a game (I don't even recall right now) that was converted to a Kicker. I gave the original cabinet away.
