Trying to mount a K4600 in my Mr. Do! ...Degauss wire...

OK, so I have to take this monitor out of the frame to mount it in my Mr. Do!, but the k4600 has this weird shield around the tube and the degauss wire is connected with this capacitor. Can I use a degauss coil out of a K7000 in this? Will it kill the monitor? I was going to use the ground strap from the Hitachi that was in here along with a spare k7000 coil I had.

if you do not use the coil from the 4600 then your leaving out components that are supposed to be in the degause circuit.

to me that sounds like a bad thing.

Yeah, I am using the original. I used wire to attach the purity shield to the monitor tabs. Now just trying to situate the chassis on the shelf. I will have to extend the degauss wire to reach, but everything else reaches.
