OK, I give up on trying to find a picture of my childhood arcade. I'm just going to have to get as close as I can to what my memory recalls and say f* it..

Can someone post an image for me of the word "GALAXY" in all caps, in a light blue color, with a black border around the letters? I'm pretty sure the font was either "Computer" or "Data 70".

I cannot believe for the life of me I can't find a picture of the original arcade anywhere.

In the meantime, Phet's had 14 signs made for his house and his neighbors. :(

Newest development:

The Outer Limits sign is nearly a reality:

Bungy was down over the weekend, and even though I had everything all decked out in the garcade, it still didn't feel complete without the Galaxy II sign hanging. Must.. finish..

have you tried the historical society of the town it was located in?

Once you give those lonely bored people something to look for they will find it.

I used to look for pics of old local car dealerships..maybe you can find an
add for a grand opening in the newspaper files at the library?

I can never get to the library physically, the historical societies in my area are open from like 11:15AM to 11:45AM on every 3rd Sunday of the month, but only if it's nice out, and online searches (both web and library) have come back with nothing.

I could come up with search results for the names of Noice's turtles quicker than it's taken me to find a pic of this damned arcade. People even remember it all over the interwebs, but no pics.

"Cash reward for pics of local galaxy II arcade"

Nothing motivates lazy people like a couple bucks.

Well, the original was "Galaxy". Thus the II in Galaxy II. :D They were apparently a chain, and became "Champions". The guy I got my Robotron from BITD had even worked there, but didn't have any pics of the place. It's kind of hard to top finding someone who even WORKED there, but you still can't find pics!! Maybe it never really existed. Maybe my mind just made it all up. :(

Nope, I remember it fondly as well. :) But I don't have any pics either. :(

Maybe you'd be better off at this point calling it "Mars II" after the music/video store that is in Big Elk Mall? :)
