I am restoring a mid 90's midway cabinet (mortal kombat, killer instinct, blitz, etc...). I am missing a few pieces I am trying to hunt down. There is a piece I need to find/post in the wtb thread, but I'm not sure what its called. The piece is a metal piece of angle that goes in between the plexi and the control panel. I used to sit my quarters on it in the arcade to let players know I was on deck for the next round. Does anyone know what that piece is called? I am including a photo of the part circled in red. Thanks in advance.

It's part number 01-11996 and listed as a "Control Panel Latch Bracket" or "Control Panel Bracket". Let everyone know if you find a source for these.

Thank you for the reply. I am not sure where you got the part number, but if there is a part number, there has got to be a place that sells the part! I'm gonna try and dig up a source. Thanks again.

My master inventory sheet says I have 2 (NOS) of these in storage. I just need to find them.
Price is $20 plus shipping. PM if interested and I'll run to storage and dig it out.

Are you looking for the part coming off of the control panel or the part that holds the glass in place? The piece that holds the glass in place can be replaced with a piece of angle iron cut down and painted to match.

The part info I gave is the piece that is screwed onto the back edge of the control panel and when the control panel is closed rests against the glass retainer bracket. It's listed in several Midway manuals (KI, KI2, WarGods, MKII, MK4, Skins Game, etc.).

Its the part that screws onto the back (inside next to the plexi) of the CP. Its what CMAC is talking about.
