Trying to come up with a Store Logo for Rusty Quarters. Firt try.

It's just a sketch but what about a cabinet in the shape of Minnesota, with

• RUSTY QUARTERS • RETRO ARCADE & MUSEUM• circling the logo?

...maybe put a dot on the map where Minneapolis is.

Didn't catch the state outline at first glance - cool idea. Maybe a thicker border for that edge. Also - make your dot have .25 in it like a quarter.

Yeah. Ilike how the map side turned out but it still feels too plain... Or is it a good thing that its simple? It only took 5 min. Should I have some sort of RQ on the map side or just focus on heavier outside lines?

I'd say spruce up the coloring to match the logo (or vice verse) and you've got a winner. Pretty cool design. Would look great on shirts, maybe in a distressed print.

Just seeing the logo without hearing your description, I would have no idea that the cabinet is in the shape of Minnesota. I thought it was just some really jacked up cabinet. No offense.

I would do an actual quarter with Rusty Quarters in place of United States of America at the top and then at the bottom put Minnesota instead of Quarter Dollar. Just a thought.

People here will notice it right away. Looks cool, man. I finally had a chance to stop up there last weekend and it was definitely a great experience. Didn't get to stay long because of other plans, but I can't wait to go back!

i think the folks that live there will recognize the shape of their state. nice job, pretty good thinking that up in 5 minutes.

Very true. The advertising does not need to expand more than the regional area either. So, I'll have to agree with everyone else. Good job.

Keeping it simple will make it easier to reproduce, especially at smaller sizes. Think about how small your image gets on Facebook for example.

And yeah I agree that people from the state will instantly recognize that shape in the cabinet. Nice work.

That's a cool concept for sure.
Maybe to make it a little more clear about the map idea, what about including a SUPER simplified side-art on the machine with a star for your location and I-94 and I-35 drawn in? Maybe some other landmarks of note to get that map feeling? Those kinds of things can always be removed from smaller uses of the logo.

I like it!

Here's the final design for arcade logo. We're dropping "And Museum" from the name. I hope that it'll look good on a black t-shirt or baseball cap.

Thanks. I'm hoping to us the new logo to promote the arcade through our current rough patch, we'll be able get more awareness of our current fundrasier, see more foot traffic, and gain more revenue with apparel sales. Due to bad weather our neck of the woods has been hurting (uptown Minneapolis) local small businesses and with Insert Coin(s) in downtown, we seen a decline in Date Night/weekend business. But what I've heard is even Insert Coin(s) is doing poorly as well. Just right now things are though all over for small mom and pop shops in MN and I just hope with the right revamp marketing with a new logo, it should help us out...

Sorry for the rant. Just needed to get that out there.

A quick lesson on "perspective"...

As you look at something... the further away it goes, the smaller the measurements are... not the opposite. Your "arcade machine" looks like a Wacko... it's all lopsided.

Very nice work, I like it! And I'm veeeery picky.

It would look awesome on a t-shirt printed with silver ink on the bottom.
