Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a converter for a Jammaboard that will allow the use of a computer monitor?

I'm trying to make a compact, stand up arcade game for my brother for christmas. I do not have a good source for inexpensive monitors in my area and would like to keep my cost down a little on this game. I have 20 some LCD monitors sitting around and would like to possibly use on of these if possible.

Thanks in advance for the input.

There are RGB to VGA converters for sale in a few places. Here are two options, google has a few more:

http://www.arcademvs.com/rgbstovga.htm (note: the price is right, but some have had questionable results in terms of output quality)

Also, note that a lot of those xxx-1 boards have vga output built in on the board in addition to arcade cga output, which makes the converters unnecessary and has the added benefit of multiple game choices on one board. Here's an example.

There is a user named Nixs on the board that sells multigames for good prices, so it might be worth shooting him a PM to find out if his boards output vga:

nixs 48 in ones and 60 in ones do output vga, no adapter needed!!and hes very reasonable too!!!

If your going to build a cheap muntigame a board like his + old computer monitor is the way to go..

FYI if you have a old pc laying around the atx type power supply will plug directly into the pcb so theres a cheap power supply too!
