Hi, been fiddling with the SF I picked up last week. Turned it on, marquee lit up, power supply lit up, but that was it. Checked the power supply, voltage was semi right, but damn electronics looks like it had spent a lot of time around water (a lot of corrosion on the inside) Checked the monitor, no signs of life, no neck glow, ect. I pulled the boards and put them in another jamma cab and fired them up. nothing for about 10 seconds, then a blank light purple screen lights up. stays for about 10 seconds, then changes to light green, another 10 secs back to purple, ect. Im gong to try to clean the contacts again, anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks
Randy
and what would be best to clean these contacts with?

For stubborn stuff on the finger contacts I've had a lot of luck with a normal pink eraser either from a pencil or one of those block erasers. I know there's a number of other options that someone will probably jump in with as well, but that one's worked for me. Just make sure to get all the eraser remnants off the board before plugging it back in.

The solid color screen sounds like an issue I had with one of my CE boards. When the voltage was a hair too low (some of them seem a bit thirsty and need 5.5ish) it'd just display a solid red screen after coming up. Not sure what you mean by the voltage being "semi-right", if it's running under 5 that might be something to poke at.
