have a neo tec NT-2501 medium res chassis out oif my blitz 99 that is having an issue
what do you guys think, when i first turn on the game there is a single line across the screen
but it gets better the longer it stays on but the picture stays unstable and shakes. i'm thinking
horizontal width coil problem. by the way this is my first post but have followed all ya'll for
several years.

hi, i already checked and touched up the solder joints, but i will recheck and reflow the header
it will be a couple day's before i can get to it. once i do i will let you know how it goes.
thanks for your help, i appreciate it

okay, i pulled chassis and looked for cold solder joints and fixed all i could see on both the chassis and neckboard. i then removed the little white plastic cover on the top of the yoke where the 2 vertical and 2 horizontal wires are hooked and re-flowed solder to those upon re-installing everything i must say the pic looks much better, but it still has a un-stable pic and the screen is shakey at times and sometimes it looks great. i can send another pic if needed.
please let me know what else to do or try.
thanks

sounds like vertical deflection jits.. could be caused by many things hard to pin on Neotec as its normally not a problem.. could be crust bridging components, bad vert deflection ic, bad vert lin pot, or on a rare chance bad tantalum cap in the vertical deflection circuit. or some other corroded component.

You are more than welcome to send it in for repair.
Turnaround time is getting faster every day now that I am dedicating more bench time. Expect it to keep getting better.
