so, i got some boards from another member here and it fired up but i cant see the bottom of the screen. i adjusted the pots every way possible but it wont let me adjust the verticle size? i dont know what monitor/chasiss it is but its not the original one as i can see where it was spliced and also i can see some double dragon burn in on it. any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Try adjusting the horizontal width coil. Since the monitor is mounted vertically, what looks to be verticle is actually horizonal.

There are also probably three prongs next to each other with one wire plugged into one of them. You can try switching between these prongs to further adjust the horizontal.

Glad to hear the pcb made it working..

If you don't know, you need to adjust the width coil with plastic tools. Just to be safe, do it with the power off.

Some monitor chasis have 3 pins to choose from for left, center or right shift.

Take a pic of the monitor chassis so we can know what monitor your working with.

thats a good idea, but if you don't tell people your supposed to used plastic tools, they might get the idea to shove a metal allen wrench in there..

Which can lead to a condition known as "maximum smoke". That condition can lead to another known as "a trip to the hospital".
