Hi all,
A friend has a Konami 4 player cab that recently started giving him monitor troubles (not sure on the monitor model # but I can get the info from him later). He had to replace the power supply (standard switching type) and after doing so the monitor has black and white interferences on all games. He came to me for help but I'm at a loss.

I have tested the power supply voltages and they are correct as far as I can tell with my POS multimeter. The monitor displays the same problem on all the boards we have tested. This made me think it is a monitor problem BUT the distortion (black and white horizontal lines) does change appearance slightly when the +5 is adjusted on the power supply, so perhaps it is not simply the monitor.

My troubleshooting skills is zero when it comes to monitors. If someone can tell me where to go from here or what they would do, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

1) find out the model number of the chassis

2) try connecting a ground wire from the monitor frame to the new power supply's ground connection
