also, one other thing i'd do is check your video cable. looking at it, the grey and black wires are the two sync wires. violet/tan is the video ground, and then you have the strand, and red/green/blue wires. i would try taking the cable out of the machine, and using a multimeter, meter each end of each wire together to verify continuity, mainly on the ground and two sync wires. you should get a reading of 0, indicating no resistance. if you get a reading off the chart, there's a problem with that wire.

It appears that I have the four pots across the bottom.
I took some more photos including the Adjustment key sticker.

you may want to try that vert. damping pot (the rightmost one) to see if that does anything, unless you alraedy have...
