Got my tron today. When I got it home I noticed the piece that covers the gap between the shroud and cp is missing. What is this part called and where can I get a replacement? Thanks!!

The plexi with the blacklight behind it? Or the metal bar that runs between it and the shroud? ... if it's the later... there's a metal bar that runs there. I'll get a picture of it if that's what you're talking about.

Not the first...pretty sure the second one u r talking about. It looks to be just something aesthetic to cover the gap. All the art is on there

Yeah it is a metal bar, seems to be commonly missing. I've seen people use black duct tape to cover it, not the best solution, but if you can't find the metal bar...

That's what I did... maybe someday I'll come across the right piece.

Yup....that's the piece I need.

I lucked out and got that piece in a "spare Tron parts" auction on eBay. ... but I feel you because I'm still missing the bit that goes from the shroud to the cabinet at the top... That's the last piece I need for her to be "complete".

The one in your CL listing had it. I found this at a Home Depot in the carpeting section that could work.

Grab a piece, cut, and paint it.

Satin black will work well...that's what I paint everything. As for the shroud, that's not something that I ever painted. Why does it need painting?

...that, and the dimensions are slightly off, but it's better than duct tape. It's been mentioned many times before...someone needs to get like 30 of these made and carry them in stock. I'm sure they'll sell.

That's a pretty good idea... I may have to try that out.

because it has a rough surface and some brownish "rust" look that doesnt clean off. want to sand smooth...if i can....and give it a fresh look. i have a spare shroud that i am gonna practice on first....

They could make a hundred of them and sell out within a year. Considering that piece was trashed with every Two Tigers/Tron convert as well as most other Tron converts everyone needs it. Someone was parting a Tron a few days ago in the FS sub-forum and within minutes that piece had sold.
