Happy Monday,

I've got some new inventory headed in this week and am tight on space. Likely that Tron will be posted here soon.

Curious what a restored upright Tron is going for nowadays?

Beautiful restoration, NOS monitor, no corners cut. Hard pressed to find a nicer one.

Located near Portland, OR.

Thank you!

Assuming it's an upright, here is what the Vintage Arcade Girl's Buyers Guide says:

I've seen them here for $3500 to $4000 and higher for a good restore. The problem right now is the market stinks. So set a price you can live with, or set a price that will sell and move it along if you need space.

The market is a buyers market right now. One of the reasons I haven't bothered to make a new guide is I'm hoping eventually the market will stabilize. I think hyper rare and premium games will always command high prices but everything else right now seems to be falling off a cliff.

I'd have to see pictures, but assuming this is a perfect restoration, you're still gonna hard pressed to get much more than three grand for it today, and that's if someone's looking for one. At this point in time I'd say that's the high end. If you think that sounds bad, when I sold my fully restored Tron About 12 years ago, I got $1700 for it. That same machine would've sold for 5K five years ago, but no more than 3K today, and more likely 2500. While $2500 is certainly more than I got for mine 12 years ago, it's still about half of what you could've got for the same one five years ago. This hobby is all about location and timing and there's no real way to predict accurate values across the board unfortunately.

What the Op does have going for him right now is NOSTALGIA.

TRON ARES is in the theaters. Like it or not, some people might "Jones" for the game, which means a possible bidding war or a better than average sale.

OP seems to have decided on $4500. Not sure advice was taken. Oh well. LOL :sneaky:

FWIW, for 2025, Exidy quotes ->
Tron (Midway)- Dedicated upright game $2500-$3500. Collector price/ebay price.

What Phet said . Timing is everything and I believe right now 2500 sounds right for a nice restore
