Tron upright -Power Supply / battery question (what am I looking at?)

So I've been doing some reading about switching out the linear power supply and making sure to remove the NiCad battery from off the board in case it leaks - at this point I'm trying to absorb all I can, I'm not ready/qualified to undertake this, but I was looking to see if maybe some of these modifications have already been done. Can you guys tell me what I've got here? This is everything that is inside (except for the monitor of course). Does this look like the original linear power supply and do I have the NiCad battery on the board still?

Thanks!

Well that is most welcome news! Thanks Luckyman and punkshere2stay for putting my mind at ease.

It's only welcome news if the linear power board replacement doesn't cause the game audio to hummmmmmm.

This is a very real problem on some games, most especially Spy Hunter.

Well, I'm not sure if I have the hum that could be caused by the power supply replacement or something else. . . when I power up the game, there is a pretty loud hum while in attract mode, but as soon as I coin up, the hum is gone and is not present during game play. Does this tell us anything as far as determining the cause? Thought maybe it was a grounding issue - dfrance got me squared away on the free hanging yellow ground cable, but it didn't impact the hum. Also noticed the ground prong on the power plug was broken off, so I did a plug replacement earlier and it didn't impact the attract mode hum either.

Thanks

Honestly, I don't know for sure how it would manifest on Tron. On Spy Hunter it's pretty much always there. I'm going to defer to a Tron expert on this one.
