My Tron monitor went out a few weeks ago so I replaced the chassis (4900).
I turned it on and everything looked ok until I got to the Tanks screen (See attached).

Not sure if this would just be a color adjustment or what.
Has anyone seen this before? Looks like the light green is missing...

Thanks in advance!

If you go into color test mode for the game what do you get?

I don't think you have a monitor issue there. Looks like it's the PCB.

Unfortunately, It wont seem to go into test mode.
Tried letting it sit for a awhile.
Tried restarting several times.

I will look at it again when I get home tonight.

Thanks!

I'm not certain but I think you put the game into service mode and then boot it up. So hitting the switch while the game is on may not work. I forget if it is a service toggle switch or a button.

The self-test switch is in the front of the cabinet: open the coin door and look to the right side of the opening. There's a button, a switch, and a pot. You can flip the self-test switch on at any time (you don't have to power on with it on), but if the cab is in the middle of an attract sequence you have to wait until it finishes the sequence before it will go in to test mode. If you're impatient you can hit the tilt switch after turning self-test on and it will immediately go in to self-test.

The color test is part of self diagnostics (first thing on the self-test menu).

I've tried everything from waiting to restarting with the switch on and off.
I'll try the tilt switch when I get home. Thanks!

It appears your service switch isn't hooked up or working. Can you follow its wiring to your harness? Or check the appropriate pin on the connection to your PCB? If you don't know which one I can help you find it.

Thanks!
I finally got it into test.
I switched to test then repaired the tilt/slam switch then triggered that it and got into test.
Everything tests fine/all colors seem fine.

I must have a board issue that is prevents the green outline to appear correctly on the tanks screen.
Also noticed that the attract audio doesn't seem to work correctly either (it did work before).

Sorry it does appear to be a board issue (I was afraid of that). Making sure voltages are right and reseating connectors and chips is your first step now.

I did replace the power supply last year. However, I will start there just to be sure.....not sure if I will do that before or after I fix my Sega Turbo! ARRRG!

Thanks!

If you have a power issue (and I'm not assuming you do) then my guess is it relates to old connectors. Certainly check voltages to be sure though.

We moved end of last year..bigger house/smaller payment + a Gameroom!
If you are ever out this way..... lemme know.

Tron issue resolved!
It was not a board issue after all.
It was the screen adjustment pot on the flyback!
I adjusted it and the missing lightgreen outline suddenly appeared.

While I was in there I also clipped R135 and added attract mode.

Thanks!
