i hope someone can help me with this. ill try to explain everything i did to rule out some stuff.
My Tron board is messed up..thats another issue(pretty sure its a ram problem). But it was playable and sync was fine.
i had a tested working Satan's hollow board so i decided to swap the roms.
After the swap i put in the board with the Tron roms. The monitor was scrolling left to right real fast. My first thoughts were horizontal hold. Messing with it slowed it down a little but not much.
So i put in the other board with the SH roms and its doing same thing.
Both games coin up and play. So looks like i have a sync problem?
ive never run into a sync problem before.
I looked over the boards carefully check the roms for bent legs, both boards have new ribbon cables and cab has new MCR switcher and PS.
I also happen to have a new monitor cable in the package from bob roberts. So i put that in so rule out the cable..same problem.
I i decided to pull the chassis and inspect it and figured i would cap it also. I capped it and reflowed the pots, pins.
any advise? what else can i test/look for next? Could it still be the boards at this point with them both having the same exact issue?
if its the monitor, anyone had this problem before?
couldnt find the video camera this morning but here are a few pics...looks to me like the screen is scrolling left to right
-Thanks
