Tron Rom 2 error

Cool, thanks for the quick reply. I was in the process of doing a rom chip verification with the rom images. I can now get to the chip and see if it's the chip or the rom file that is the problem. Thanks for the help.....I will post an update as things progress...

Update: I pulled the D5 rom chip and tried to erase it several times with my UV eraser and only got a partial erase, must be a bad chip, erased a spare chip with no problems on the first try. Got the correct version of the rom file and wrote the file on the slowest setting and then verified the file as a good burn. Installed the rom chip, installed the PCB boards, fired up the game and no more rom errors.
But now I have other issues with the video generator, I am seeing different colors of screens as the attract mode is playing......more detective work needed. But overall progress is being made, thanks for the help.

I found the color problems to be a misaligned Bob Roberts cable....you have to be careful when installing the cables, one pin off and the video looks like what I posted. The SCSI cable connections are a pain to use but do work. Check your connections with a meter if you are not sure.
After I fixed the video problems, I needed to fix the audio problem, no sounds, pinpointed my problem to a bad M58725P ram chip on the Super Sound I/O board, slot CP39, replaced with a spare chip from another parts board. I now have a working game with all the sounds working.
