Tron price check

and to answer your question "what's the most it's worth in that condition"

tough one, but probably $650-$700. I suppose someone may pay more.
I don't think you flip it for $700 tomorrow.
You could flip it for $450 tomorrow most likely.

So, what is "market price" for Tron and where can one purchase one?

I was just at a place in Glendale, CA and they were asking $2,000 UNRESTORED, but fully working. $2,900 for fully restored. I think the name of the place was Vintage Arcade Super Store? The owner was really nice and he mentioned that he sold a fully restored Tron to Disney.

I'd love to own a Tron and absolutely want to pay a fair price, but I don't want to over pay!

Thoughts, anyone?

I'm gonna try to sell mine for $600 soon, not sure what the market says but I think that's a fair price.

hard to say with the new movie on the horizon but in the past I would say fully restored sold by a collector would be in the $1,000-1,200 range. Unrestored could vary greatly depending on condition. I bought a nonworking complete one with a solid cab and art work that many would be happy with for $300. I rebuilt the linear power board and it fired right up. So in my case about $325 got me one that many would be happy with. Had it been working I would have expected the asking price to be in the $400-500 range.

Gene at Vintage is a retailer. Retailers will always ask for more than almost any other source for games. although they can actually get these prices for the games because they are a business and not just some guy off the street selling a game. IMO Vintage is on the high end of pricing even for retail. That said expect the price of tron machines to steadily climb until the movie comes out. If it flops the prices will taper off. If it's a hit the prices will hit new all time highs.
