I found Tron not to far from me. They guy wants $300 for it. It works but the sound does not. The message says sound error or something like that. I looked it up on VAPS and it did not seem to big a deal. I included some pics. Let me know what you think.

Problem is working Trons sell for like $400 unfortunately......

they may be where you are, but they sell for quite a bit more here. and i expect the price will rise a bit more as we get closer to the release date for Legacy, and probably remain elevated for a while after depending on the popularity of the new movie.

I would be home with that bitch already.
Yeah try to jehuie his ass down $50 if you can.
Talk about board repair being $180 or whatever, lol.

In my mind it's a no-brainer though.

ya those prices are going to explode whan that movie drops. bet you could sell it as-is for 2x the price the week after release

If you simply want a game to play then $300 is a great price. But if you want a game that looks pristine you're going to pay through the butt for artwork and time. Suddenly that great deal went down the shitter. If you want a good looking game you're better off waiting because the artwork is expensive and it takes no time flat to end up with a $1000 Tron.

some games deserve to be restored and this is one of them. I firmly believe the longer a person allows a game to degrade you're unknowingly helping it get one step closer to the dump.

I'd buy it right now. :D ...Living in Arizona!

I want a cheap Tron... Someone please hook me uuuuuupppp! :(

tron game

Most all talk of buying games cheap, tron is wanted by many, $300 is cheap enough for crying out loud for this game, just get it and you'll have it, fix it later and enjoy that you own one when others don't.

talk him down to $250 and I think you'll have a good deal going on there. Problem is working Trons sell for like $400 unfortunately......

Can you send me some:eek: I could pay for shipping, and still be cheaper than working Trons go for here!! $600-$800 and the prices will be going up later this year.

I think that's a good price. You might get lucky and the sound issue can be fixed with new ribbon cables (Bob Roberts), or reseating the audio chips

This thread is funny because I called a guy a month ago here in Florida who had a non-working Tron, and he wanted $700. I didn't even try to reason with him, I figured if he's starting that high, I don't want to waste my time.. Any you have the chance to get a decent one that works for $300 and are wondering if it's a deal...

the error you mention is most likely the boards not talking to each other or a bad z80 on the sound board. So probably new ribbon cables or a z80 will fix the sound issue.

Ok ok y'all are making me feel like an idiot. But I do have an excuse I just got into this hobby less than a month ago. Tron is not really on my want list but you cant pass up a good deal. I'll update you when I get it. He went out of town so it may be a week. I have one more question. What is the most it is worth in its present condition?
