I've just about got this Tron finished up but now I'm having the main slo-blow fuse pop. Everything will power up fine but after about 1-3 minutes the 2.5 amp fuse on the bottom right next to the A/C line filter gets hot and blows.

I just installed a stiching power supply and MCR adapter. Trying to figure this out I have everything that I can think to unplug, unplugged. The only things left plugged in to the circut are the power switch, interlocks, and the items in the power supply in the bottom of the cabinet.

Any ideas? I tried checking for shorts on the switches but don't readily see any.

Thanks

Can someone tell me what the upright black canister thing at the bottom left of the picture with the cloth covered wires coming out of the top, and the the canister thing laying down just to the right of the filter capacitors is? I don't see either listed in the manual.

Also what if anything is not used in the original power supply section now that I have a switcher with MCR adapter? I'm not going to remove anything, just want to disconnect anything that is not necessary to try to find this short.

Thanks

The big black one in the lower left is the power transformer (not the monitor isolation x-former) for the different voltages. The other metal canister is just a motor start (or oil) capacitor which I believe is just another filter (like the two big caps) for the power x-former. With a switcher, you shouldn't need either of these and I don't even think they connect to the MCR-switcher adapter, but I've never installed one myself.
