Tron Pinball - Official Info

I would suspect fairly soon. If I had to guess it would roughly be $3750 plus $10 for a pallet.

Would it be shipped to a terminal then for pickup or something? That's how I got my Iron Man. Btw, do you know anything about the Amini's in KC? They've been going out of business for 2 1/2 years. :)

Sweetness, I just confirmed I get to play TRON for a couple days before the OP puts it on route. To say the least I'm very happy and fortunate enough to play before I buy. As always FWIW I'll post my thoughts in a review here.

good on you, deadly......most of us are buying the TRON pin on theme and hopes alone (which i don't have a problem with....hell, i'm doing it too :) ). but you get to play it.....good stuff. can't wait to hear what you have to say about the theme/gameplay/flow/modes/difficulty/etc.

Alky, thats reasonable - i got quoted 125 over cost on a lot of 5 - 10 - but it all comes down to distribution cost, which distributors dont have yet.

Thanks for the lead - i think i may end up getting one, and will certainly contact you have more info on price (closer / slightly after launch).

More Cowbell - i can find out next week if you like.

I called the distributor - he can quote us on a group of 5+ at 125 over their cost (they get their cost when the game is released to them - expecting 3800 or so). So, we are looking at around 3900 - 4k. Shipping is another matter. I am two hours from there, will probably get shipped for 150.

Again, near CT. I would like further out, airshipped / pick up at dock would get you somewhere higher than 200 but less than 300.

Ok, we have a list of 6 interested parties (myself included). Pending a deal on my side, i will get the funds / make the room, so i am in especially after seeing the pics - i like it enough.

Keep the interest flowing maybe we can shave off another $50 on a group buy (who knows!).

Dumbest sale idea ever, the made it way to confusing to customers. They did something similar here in St. Louis with the same stupid result, a whole lot of people thinking we were closing. In their defense at least at our store the signs said nothing that I would take to mean that the store was closing.

Also remember I need no group for whatever final price I get. Just buy singles. If a group happens then the price will go a bit lower.

You must be talking to Mike???

My shipping is to your front door just an FYI.

Stern might let you pick one up from them but they will in no way shape or form sell you one. I had a guy pick up an Indy from them once so I know I could swing that probably. They were not thrilled about it but it got done.

Yes one month before they release LE. By then you have an idea on the gameplay which is all that really matters.

They are making it tough for those that are chomping to get one (me included). A month is a long time! It can hurts their business too - they risk losing clients that may be swayed by opinion during that month. But i understand their are manufacturing requirements and such that come into play.

Uhm - what will i do? Not sure. LEs dont excite me much. Updated trim? Blah. Updated Toys? blah. The only think i would want to see is updated lighting - if thats in there, than YES i would wait. Will see how i decide to proceed.

The whole LE thing is really getting old IMHO.

Extra layers of clear coating - who can bitch about that one right?
Will TRON have a power ball with extra software? Probably
Will the back glass be signed - probably
Will it have NEON EL wire - probably (which I'm hoping combining neon and black lights with the power ball equals killer mode.)
Will it have a shaker motor? Probably
Will it have Chrome or gold rails, legs and lock down bars? Probably
Extra figurines? - Probably

Is it worth an extra ~$1000 for these options? Not for everyone but for me it's mandatory for NEON colors and shaker motor. TRON without NEON is just wrong IMHO.

Now if it has a moving light cycle mode - that would be the freaking bees knees.

Moving light cycle mode? Oh my.

Imagine buying the first run (pro) only to learn you miss out on Moving light cycle mode. Terrible thought.

As you mention, Stern hasnt been original with their add ons, so its possible it will be more of what we expect - or maybe we get surprised!

Can't wait to hear about LE add ons. Almost positive I will wait for the LE since this will likely be my last NIB pin for a loooooooong time. I can't imagine a theme I would be this excited about. I'm cool with buying from a distributor and picking up at Stern if it can be worked out to save on shipping. So whoever can swing the best deal, I'm in! I know Lonnie Ropp and asked about the LE but I don't expect to get a straight answer from him, he toes the company line and is elusive when it comes to info ahead of time. Can't blame him at all.

Maybe if you guys get at least 8-10 people we could have a contest and have 2 people get their machines for cost.

Just throwing this out there as a fun idea, i have no idea if I could do it or not.
