So i got the sweet kit today from TILT on RGP. But looking at the decals i was thinking i could spend a little time and make some improvements. So.. i did.

These are from the same template in 300 DPI. If you want the file just shoot me a PM with your email (don't print the attachment here, its LOW rez). I've also asked TILT if wanted the file as an option of folks who buy his kit.

What's different or new:

1. I like the texture of the cabinet, so i created side art that just covers the old side art and not the whole sides. I also cut out the coin door decal for the front.

2. I slightly adjusted the top marquee

3. Added a new coin door

4. Created the inner side art to fit the funky Stern toy

5. Added red buttons and spinner to the control panel

6. Created a super tiny joystick decal (I cut off the Target arcade toy joystick to glue on this CP)

That's it, also i highly recommend printing these on glossy photo decal paper, the colors and sharpness will really pop.

Added original decal sheet for comparison.

Thanks again to TILT for these kits, they ROCK!

Dan

These look great!

What type printer did you use to print the artwork with? Will a inkjet printer work?

I ordered a kit several weeks ago. I'm still waiting for mine...

Thx for the info on these.

Tom

They look awesome! That being said, if you're really going to be so picky about it, the coin door is an older version vs. what you would find on a Tron (note the $.25 inserts). Now, I'm going to duck and run for cover...

I really need to do this to mine. I purchased a couple of the Target store exclusive cabinets for the express purpose of upgrading the appearance over the ugly stock one. This mod shown here, however, looks WORLDS better and I suppose will eliminate the need for the target ones. I sure do wish these things didn't have those ugly screws in the middle of the sides...

Yep, inkjet is fine, glossy decal paper for best colors. Try different settings for best results as all printers are different.

I used the target toy to cut/carve the joystick out of. Was pretty easy with a new xacto knife. As for the screws, i just took a sharpie and made them black to make them less noticeable.
