Ok, so I knew that most of these Disney resorts have arcades, and I was hoping that I could get a few games in on Tron. We check in and of course, the first place I head is to the arcade and sure enough, Tron pinball! I played a game before I realized that something wasn't right, and sure enough, the top flipper wasn't working! How old is this game? Oh well, I am sure that there is another here at Disney, and I am bound and determined to play a working example of this game! Rant over...

Did Stern go cheap on the Tron Legacy pin? I see a lot threads on various issues with this model. WTF Stern!!!

I'm not a hater just very concerned. I'm saving up to buy this sometime in the (hopefully) near future.

BTW hope you're having a blast at Disney!

Thanks! I also have my sights set on a Tron, but Stern's QC worries me a little...I agree that it probably has a few plays on it, but the lower 2 were great and strong...Oh well, off to spend more money...

Which Disney did you see the Tron pin at??

Sorry I didn't specify, we are at Disneyworld, and our arcade at All Star Movies has the machine...I am gonna check out the other 2 "All Star" resorts to see if they have any pins later...

It's a mechanical piece of machinery. Something eventually WILL go wrong....especially on route. I can't tell you how many Bally/Williams games have had broken or sluggish flippers on route, rendering them unplayable. That's just the crapshoot that is route pinball.

The Magic Kingdom has a better arcade than Disneyland.

Disneyland had one pin the last time I was there. Magic Kingdom had around seven the last time I was there in Dec 2010.

The one pin at Disneyland was POTC and it was not working properly. it was not playable but was still accepting coins. Most of the pins at Magic Kingdom were working and in playable condition.

Just about every time I have been at Disneyland the pinball machine was not working properly, and was not playable. Yes, it is a mechanical device, but this is Disneyland and it's only one game. There's no excuse.

Ok, small update. Went to the arcade at Space Mountain in Tomorrowland....They had quite a pin row consisting of Stern Indy,Elvis,Potc,Rollercoaster Tycoon, Frankenstein, Pin2k Episode 1 and a non-working RFM....All the games worked, but were filthy..I took some pics and post them if I get time.

As of last week, there is a Tron pin in the arcade at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House....

Just got back, All star Music has one, I stayed there, played the tron pin about 30 times, played great, no other traffic on it. They have multi kong, a galaga/ms pac, and a centipede missle command. A space invaders as well, pretty good arcade, kids loved it, and so did Dad:), you can walk over from where you are at... Played a Shrek pin and POTC at Hollywood Studios, and saw several others..

If you're in Disneyworld and you don't hit up Disney Quest, you're really cheating yourself out of a good time! There's maybe 4-5 pins, among them Pirates of the Carribean and a Virtual pin, don't remember the others. But the classic game setup there is fantastic, a whole floor dedicated to them! And most are in great working shape and all are fitted with credit buttons so that there's no need for coin door jam garbage. From what I remember there's Joust, Gorf, 2 Trons, Disc of Tron, Donkey Kong, Marble Madness, Mario Bros., NBA Jam and plenty more. It's just absolutely amazing.

The Space Mountain arcade is good as well, and for some reason almost all of the arcades in Disney World seem to have After Burner Climax sitdown and the Defender/Stargate double-cab.

I just got back and was also searching for a TRON to play before I thought about buying one - There was a 100% working unit at the Arcade in the Contemporary

There have been quite a few threads on Disneyquest. Unfortunately, most of the classics are only barely functioning. If you get to go there for free, then check it out, but I wouldn't waste money on a 1 day pass there. As for the Contemporary, I figured that if anyone would have one, they would.

Yeah, it was the only place I found one finally - I was at Old Key West, so that "Arcade Closet" had nothing much ... I thought maybe the Arcade at Space Mountain but it had all BUT a TRON (Pirates, Roller Coaster, Elvis, even an Indiana Jones)
