My Tron project has no sound, but everything else works 100%- I have a spare PCB that has video problems but has sound, so I was thinking of switching the sound board, but have no idea which one I need to swap out?

Thanks for your help in advance!!

Pretty sure it's the top one. It says SOUND PCB or something like that on it. When mounted, it would be the one on the left...

Thanks for the help!!

I changed out the sound boards, but no dice.

Any other ideas on how to get the sound working? Is there something else that may be bad or need to be checked?

Thanks

Are you getting any errors when you first power up the machine? (sound board interface error, or sound board timeout)? If so, you are likely to have a problem on the SSIO PCB or the ribbon connectors that connect the boards together.

If you don't have any errrors, you could have a bad connection in the wiring- check from the SSIO PCB- The smallest connector on that board is the audio output it runs to the pot on the coin door, and also to the audio amplifier board. Check all of that, as well as the 12 Volt unregualted voltage that powers the amp. And lastly check from the amp to the speakers.
