A dear dear dear friend of mine kills everyone at my bar playing Tron! She is quite the player in our eyes, her current high-score is around 55,500 - what are some of your high-scores???

The big question is what starting level were each of your Trons set too? Factory default is 5 but it can be set to the easiest level 1 to 10 the hardest in the service menu.

hey, JAWHN - tron

hey, just incase you didn't see this, i saw a tron for $550.00 still available from user: AFTERSHOCKS collection! pretty decent price i suppose? i got lucky, picked up a beautiful one for $200.

Thanks for thinking of me, but he's in Ohio... :(

I may have one lined up soon... Keeping my fingers crossed!

tron seems to be about the patterns, reaction time, accuracy and being able to fire at top speed for a long time. With simply memorizing the patterns you can easily beat your friends score.

anyone here have a tron that starts at 1000 on the spider screen and not 500?? I remeber when they first came out in aladdins it started at 1000...

anyone own one of these pcbs??

I think every screen after the first one is 1000 on my pcb.

First screen is 500 though IIRC.

sounds like a dip setting could make it "easier" and give you 1000 on the first level.

So very true, there is a HUGE difference in this game from setting 1 to 5 and let's not even think about 10!

So if the game is on site I'd see if you can check what the difficultly level is set to, that would make a big difference.. now if it is indeed on 5 or higher, she's pretty impressive on the game for sure!

everyone's board is set for 5. You would have to go in there into the menu setup and purposely try to change it.

Just out of curiosity I decided to play a quick game to see how long it took to hit 50,000. Hit it just at the end of the 4th level (level not board). My best advice to gain points is to make sure and linger on the grid bug stage. As far as I know there is no bonus for completing the board quickly so it's more to your benefit to shoot grid bugs until the timer gets low. Beyond this learn the light cycle patterns. Memorize which direction the MPC cone moves in. Be sure to totally clear the first two MPC cones for the bonus points.

tron dip set

as far as i know, my machine is default - but it seems very very difficult! now you guys have me wondering - i gotta crack it open, and check difficulty setting! the girl i mentioned only knows patterns made up in her brain, she has never researched or learned patterns from external sources, she is just the queen of those damn tanks!!!!
