Tron Owners - Need some assistance - Wire identification

Well, I was transferring the contents from one tron to to another and one of the yellow/green wires snapped off from the brown molex plug that that's on top of the power brick. Can someone tell me where this yellow/green ground wire is supposed to be grounded please? Thanks..

Cool

Thanks for the help. There is a brown molex on top of the power brick. Most of the wires go to the transformer. But one wire is yellow with green stripe. Need to know where this is soldered to.

Thanks

Do you have a picture of the wire? The brown molex on my unit (which has factory wiring as far as I can tell) has no yellow/green wires. It has solid yellow, solid green, solid white and red w/ white wires. This is a picture I took a while ago.

Yep

Yes,

Looking at your picture, that is the correct molex. there is a yellow wire with green stripe coming off that molex connector with a plastic coating. I need to know where that wire goes.

Curious. There are no yellow/green plastic coated wires going into the brown molex as you can in the first picture. All of those wires are fabric coated and originate at the large transformer(?) right next to it that has been coated and sealed up.

What I just noticed is that on the brown molex there is one pin slot open, in the middle bottom row (nearest the door when installed correctly). But if you look at the wires going into the white molex (second picture), you can clearly see a greenish-blue wire with yellow dots leading from there.

So if you have a wire connected to that middle bottom slot, I have no idea where it originated from. I wonder if that has something to do with why my power switch has no effect on shutting the machine down.

Sorry, almost forgot. It looks like the green/brown wire goes to the back right bottom corner of the transformer. I couldn't get a good picture. Hope that helps.

Agreed - from the brown molex (the empty hole in i86's closeup photo) to the solder tab on the back/right mounting bolt of the larger transformer.

Does anyone have a picture of this? My tab on that filter/transformer already has a ground wire attached that goes in the loom up to the marquee/speaker area. I realize I can double up on the wires, but all other ground tabs only have a single wire attached.

I can't take a picture at the moment, but on mine there was also one other ground wire soldered to the same tab (I presume they just used the nearest convenient ground to route up to that molex).

Cool. Thanks a bunch. I checked my schematics today and sure enough that wire @ pin 8 is in there. Wonder what else is missing on my machine.
