Tron on BK2 with original spinner - 99% testing completed

I just wanted to let everyone know I picked up what I believe to be the final prototype adapter needed for testing tron on bk2 with all original hardware on my trip to Canada this past weekend.

I just had a minute to test after work today and it looks like it's fully functional.

This adapter will:

Convert an original tron cabinet to work with jamma to accept bk2

Will allow for use of ORIGINAL spinner, no rewiring or replacement required.

I have tested all inputs, audio and spinner and can tell you it's functional.

I am not sure on timing to release the final version as there are some changes in the final revision after this last Proto due to optimizing cable routing and cleaning up jumpers etc but wanted people to know it's coming so get your tron cabs out and ready with original hardware.

It's taken more than a few trips to Canada to get new protos and code and one visit here in MI from pcbjunkie to get it over the finish line but it looks like this one will be ready for prime time shortly.

I'll load up some other 2 way games and see how they perform also but was most interested in tron for selfish reasons.

I think this is a question for @CraftyMech. I think the HSS kit can be set to take any input from spinner (left or right) or remapping of a button. I would love to have spinner mapped to SH shield myself on BK2 also.

It's not "anymore". It's right now. Canada post I believe is still on strike.

I am reasonably sure he is still selling and shipping through eBay as they manage a lot of it for sellers but I can't say for sure.

But I'm sure we'll find a way to get some of these over here once the retail version is ready if the postal strike isn't over yet.

No, it lets you use the JAMMA BitKit2 which plays Tron and other games in a Tron cabinet without hacking up/changing the harness.

@FlashShift however makes a Tron to JAMMA adapter that works well. Hit him up with a PM.

Got it. Thanks. I am getting close to pulling the trigger on a Tron cabinet and getting excited about other possibilities. I like to keep cabinets as original as possible so this is intriguing.

This will convert tron cab to accept jamma games. It will not convert tron pcb to play in s jamma cab.
