When I got the tron, it had no audio but the video was okay and it was playable. I pulled the boards and swapped it an untested Two Tigers set I had, which didn't display anything at all.

So I went and put the Tron back in that's when the problems started.

First there was garbage on the screen. Then later, it came up, but the graphics were corrupted (walls, tanks, lightcycles, etc.).

I bought a replacement set of ribbon cables from Bob Roberts and just replaced them.

Now, I get a blue screen and nothing else.

I'm about ready to gut it and put a mame pc in there at this point.

Anyone have any suggestions of things to check on the pcb?

Also, why doesn't anyone put out an MCR conversion multigame board?

Wouldn't that be nice? I don't understand why someone doesn't create a System One switcher kit. I'd buy a couple of those in a hurry.

PM CDJump. He works on those boards.

Just making sure that when you replaced the cables, that you didn't offset one set of connections. As I recall from reading Bob Robers site, there is an extra pin connection on his cables, so you need to be careful not to offset one side compared to the other.

DON"T GUT THE CABINET! It's totally worth having that game functioning =) The solution will present itself.
