TRON LE specifications

I've been thinking about getting this one. If I did I think EL tape might be a better option on the ramps, not having seen the LE model. Never have used the EL tape, it might not bend right on curves surfaces though. The EL wire unless very straight and even can look wavy. What I would try to do for sure is mod the Stern caps for plasma bumper caps. I like the playfield layout, but it looks like it does need something to give it some punch. I thinks this is one that would benefit from some well placed LEDS. Still on the fence on this one. Waiting to see what the LE looks like.

i'm sure some purists would be down on it, but i think it looks awesome. besides, the guy in the vid said that his STTNG wasn't in the best of shape, so he opted to go this route to jazz it up a bit....i think that's perfectly acceptable.

Its removable so not a big deal IMHO.

Anytime today LE details..... Really excited to get confirmation - hoping that the third ramp shows up on that list (or some other surprise like extra clearcoating). Maybe Stern leaked all the details we received already but decided to leave one or two off (i hope so!). I did hear from one source a new backglass, which hasnt been mentioned anywhere else.

Not getting my hopes up on it though. Still i think the LE is a good package.

quick newb question.....

whats the difference between EL WIRE and Fiber Optic Illuminescent Light??

and did they say "tubes" meaning tubed ramps/pathways or just light tubes??

So no new backglass either. Fine, no biggie. I was afraid I wouldn't like it anyway. Who's good with photoshop and is going to take a shot at updating the existing photos with the confirmed LE specs? :D

Yeah I was wondering that too....is there color changing EL wire? I think that's the unexpected totally cool sounding feature, imo...damn I might break my "I'm not getting it" pledge...lol

Metal Bottom Arch with Light Inserts (meh)

This effect is actually really cool on Avatar LE...it looks nice.

So no new backglass either.

Well, it's the 3D translight....you can't do that effect with glass.

If anyone is interested in ordering a Tron Pro or Tron LE drop me a line at trent at midohio . net.
I'm a Stern distributor and can give you all the details. Even if you aren't interested in Tron but wanted to be added to my pinball list let me know.

I bought my Avatar through Trent, great guy to deal with. If i was paying cash for my Tron LE, i would be going with Trent again, however, i have traded one of my high end pins to get the Tron LE, so i had to use someone else this time. But i will buy through Trent again
