I replaced the burnt ones with two 1813's. If I have one in, there is a slight hum. If I install the second one, there is a loud as hell hum. If I have the burnt bulbs in, no hum. Also, with the new bulbs, if I coin it up, the hum goes away. WTF? Yes the coin door is grounded, yes 1813's run on 12V.

Sounds like it's causing feedback, like a ground loop hum? When you coin up it has to be clearing that somehow. I don't have a Tron or the schematics, but maybe take a look at how those coin door wires are routed...maybe they are looping around some metal or other wires and causing the issue.

Phet, Have you tried any 161's? I just ordered some for my tron and they worked out pretty well, I believe they are a 161 wedge, I think I got the info from the manual if i recall correctly.

Spy Hunter did the same thing on me... the reason spy hunter makes so much noise is because there's a TON of lights on the 12v line. I had to put in a seperate power supply just for the lights, and cut the traces on the light controller board and everything else.

Ive' never figured out why some of them do it and some don't. Swapping power supplies doesn't change it either.

If you felt like making a permanent solution you could move the power to the coin door lights over to the -5 or 5v rail and use 47's. On tron it's much easier because the lights don't blink like on Spy Hunter, and Spy Hunter has about 8 lights instead of just the two.

Just added the start motor caps to the storefront.
Sorry for the delay.
Only have 2 available but will add more if there is interest.
