I have a Tron that has the converted Power supply that uses the 2 switching power supplies. I have been looking on here but I am a little confused my Tron does not save the high scores. Where should I look to see if I have the correct battery or chip?

Thank you;

Brad

im new at this but i think you can either buy a high score save kit or restore the linear ps like i did and either convert it to lithium or use the nicad off the board. nicad though has to be plugged in or it wont charge whereas the lithium kit needs a diode but lasts for a very long time

There is a chip on the mother board of tron that requires power at all times (a small amount of power) as smashedtv pointed out, the linear power supply supplies that power by using an on board battery.

There are also switching kits that supply an onboard battery, but their power will fade if you don't use it often. you could also hack the board itself and put a battery on there but I'd recommend you use one of the first two solutions.

I did mine on my spy hunter, which is the same thing...if I can do it, anyone can
