I just sent a tron pcb off to eldorado games. I got a call from John saying my pcb is fine (it didn't have any problems when he received it). Prior to sending it to eldorado I tested it in a known working cabinet and it constantly resets which is what it did in two other cabinets I tried it in. I may have been able to play a few games before it would reset again. Frequently I would have to turn it on and off several times to get it going. I have tested the +5 at the pcb and is at 5.1v.

I have read about the "little purple wire" some people cut leading to the power supply but that wasn't cut on my "working cab" and my known working pcb plays fine in it.

Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks, Andy

I would get it back and send it to cdjump. He is 1/2 the price and better at fixing tron boards than edgames.

Have you tried another known working set in your cab yet?

tron help

Haven't tried any other pcb's in this cab but I put this one in my known working cab and it had the same symptoms, frequently resetting. John at eldorado said it had no problems when he tested it over several days. Thanks, Andy

what are your voltages like? trons usually have good voltage drops between the boardset and power supply, so making sure you're getting the +5 at the board would be one thing to check.

Checked it at the pcb. It behaves the same in my working cabinet as well as the restoration one I have. Andy
