Did a search and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know if there is a Tron free play mode or a highscore/free play mod i can add to my machine?

Thanks.

There is a freeplay chip. I used to burn them, but I'm fresh out of eproms right now.

I know there are a few places that will program them for you... and I'm sure they'll post a link... I don't remember the addresses of the top of my head.

As for a highscore kit... if your game isn't save'ng your scores, either replace your battery or replace your ram with an nvram and that'll take care of that.

I had a set here that I modified to remove the "FREEPLAY" text in the bottom left of the screen... but I think I lost them. Anywho, yeah, they work really good. Sometimes the game will continue rather you want it to or not, but other than that they're nice to have if you just have the machine at your house and you don't want to fool with quarters or tokens.

Thanks guys, how do i identify the PCB i have? Numbering on the board? and sorry not sure what a "stack" is?

Thanks for your help and patience,

Thanks for your help and patience,

The boards for Tron are 3 boards (a stack). Check the dates on your EPROMs. if you can't see the dates on the 3 chips on your top board (audio) open the stack to the other two boards and check on the EPROMs on them.

PLEASE DISREGARD THE TEXT THAT SAYS I MUST KNOW THEM!!!

I don't need to know them, you need to know them to tell the person programming your chip. This is from when I was selling these chips.
