Ok, so here is the best chance I have at scoring a nice pinball machine. I am offering my dedicated Tron in hopes to score my first pinball machine.

The game plays flawlessly and looks amazing! Monitor and opto were recently serviced and look/work perfectly. Sideart is intact and all lights work as they should. A few knicks here and there, but overall I'd honestly say 9/10.

I am not looking to ship the game anywhere, but could deliver with 100-200 miles for the right deal.

What I am looking for are the following pinball machines in playable condition:

Teed Off (+ Cash on your part)
Ghost Busters (Any version + a little cash on my part)
Fully shopped and awesome High Speed 2: Getaway (Straight Trade)
Any other really cool DMD pinball machine +/- cash either way depending

Only arcade I would consider trading it for is a Derby Owners Club World Edition (4 player satellites, if they all work)

If interested drop me a PM and lets work something out. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful rest of your day!

Wow, just a "little cash" on your part? Like someone else asked, what do you value your Tron at?

Best of luck.

Seriously, what would a perfect Tron sell for, absolute A+, top end all the way? Maybe $2,500 if you found a lottery winner?

What is the lowest end, routed, dirty, w/problems, Ghost Busters go for? Maybe if you found one hot, that a junkie needed a fix, you could steal it for $4,000.

Best of luck.

1993 gottlieb tee'd off -> $1,800+
2016 stern ghostbusters -> pro ($6,000) / premium ($7,500) / limited ($10k+)
1992 williams High Speed II: Getaway -> $3,000+
2003 sega derby owners club: world edition ($2,000+)

1982 bally-midway tron -> $1,500+

yer not far off from the other trade suggestions, but ghostbusters pinball? you would
have to trade 3 tron's for one of those. "a little cash" on your part would mean $4,000+

The expression "a little cash" is a subjective figure of speech. I know that a Ghostbusters pinball is worth far more than Tron and was willing to make up the difference. I think I will just sell it local and stop dealing on here. I thought price policing wasn't allowed and getting jumped on without one single person contacting me is very uncool.

If you guys aren't interested that's fine. Don't offer anything.

Don't let them get you down, yeah your machine is prolly worth about $1300-$1500. A mint Tron is worth about $2000ish give or take.

I just went through this same crap with my Burgertime. People will post prices of what they think your machine is worth. But beggars can't be choosers and your game is desirable regardless of condition. LOTS of people want Tron. And there are plenty of people who are willing to give partial trade towards one of their pinballs.

Especially when someone paid $1000-$1500 for a pin several years ago that is now worth $3000-$5000. Some people will over look that for a trade.

With that being said, I just recently delved into my first pinball, I was never able to afford one and I did a LOT of research.

There are a lot of pinballs in the $5000-$10,000 that are fun and give the owner bragging rights. But there are also $1750-$2500 pinballs that are a BLAST!!! I would know because I have two pins worth $2500 each, and I would never trade both for a $7000 pin.

Look at these titles. You can get them fairly cheap, and they are so much fun.

Mousin Around
Dr. Dude
Dredd - Just bought one and I can't believe it's not a $5000 pin
Party Zone - So much fun
Hook
Terminator 2

People are going to post (the internet sites say they are worth $xxxx) so bla bla bla.

The best deals are people moving or people who might have lost a job and want to get rid of something quick, or just trade.

I just went through what you are going through, and your game is worth more than my Burgertime.

Look on Pinside.com, it will tell you what machines are owned around you. Find out if a barcade or something has several you are interested and play them like I did.

I played a Medieval Madness ($8000-$10,000) and it's fun, but I wouldn't go nuts trying to own one. Luckily all the pinballs I fell in love with are less than $4000.

Good Luck, you won't need it. You'll just need time. If you want to increase your chances, work on the artwork a bit. That's the worst I'd tell you. If you clean up the sides and just put new sideart you should be able to call this a $1700 game. But you can also spend that money going towards the difference of a pinball.

You have a lot of options in Chicago, I check their CL often.

Gentlemen, please refrain from price-policing. Unless the original poster asks for opinions on pricing.

I've always taken it as if a game was up for trade. The value lies in the holders hand. I traded a nice Primal Rage (all original and full color original art) straight up for a Dedicated original MK 1. Price wise I would have been in favor, however, I made the trade solely on my love for MK. The gentleman on the other end just wanted a nice operating machine to take the MKs place at his arcade so he was cool with the trade and wasn't concerned on the value. In the end we both got what we wanted, so at the end of the day the price or value had nothing to do with it. Just my opinion. [emoji41]

Why does your sideart look different from the normal Tron sideart? Do you have a prototype or something different?
I've seen people spray paint black over the worn parts, I think the previous owner sprayed over everything but the Tron logo

It's not a bad thought, but finding trades within a reasonable distance can be tough. I have a good pin up for trade for vids or another pin, and there hasn't been much interest. Regardless of price difference. I figured there'd be lots of offers for vids for the pin. Probably best to just convert to cash.

I'm not price policing but I will say there are recently some threads where values of games are very far off. At least compared to what I have seen in the recent past.

How is this game a 9/10 if it needs at the very least new side art? The pictures aren't detailed enough for the buyer to confirm the sellers "judgement". Klov should have rules regarding this.

If I may say so, Tron is awesome. There are collectors who have been burned by people who are dealers in here so you shouldn't take offense if some guys over react to your listing. I was going to help a guy out once on here with a Mario board. I repaired it and everything because of his "story" of needing one. Thought I was going to help a collector out. He turned out to be a dealer and when I started asking questions he never responded to me again. That being said, I think you should replace the side art and fix the lower light under the control panel. Tron is worth a lot because it's awesome and desirable. You could trade it for a lot of mid level pins. Personally I would use a trade value of 2500. eBay is generally expensive and a lot of collectors stay away but it has become a staple for price checking. Average top dollar for eBay is about 2500 (with the side art replaced). Also; please check the MCR power supply and get the battery off it if you haven't already. They are notorious for acid damage. Good luck.
