I got my tron all assembled this past weekend and got to play it for the first time ever. I noticed 2 issues.

One, my spinner rotates both ways, but my guy's arms/ my tank turret only rotates clockwise on the screen. That can't be right?

The other issue I am having is that the dust cover that sits around the stick/ under the cp will catch on something every once in a while and make a clicking sound. Not sure what I am missing in that area, but it seems like something is amiss. Thanks for any insight you can offer.

Hey Phet are you using the original opto board for the spinner, or did you get a new one from riptor (or rebuild your own)?

I've seen quite a few reasons people have issues like that with their spinners.
+5 is low
one of the connectors at the pcb isn't on all of the way
the counter 74LS491 or optic needs to be replaced (riptor carries both)

I'm gonna order his spinner PCB, will that cover it? The one in here is original and was never tested by me until this past weekend as I bought the game non-working 4 years ago.

yeah his replacements are an awesome product. I have 2 of them as spares and 3 other originals I am going to rebuild with his parts from his website.

I'd say order it, because it's a great idea to have one as a back up if nothing else.
If you drop it in (without doing any other testing first) and it still has the same issue I suppose we know it's a voltage drop/connection issue/board issue/something else.

Rip's PCB fixed me right up. Spinner spins my dude and turret both directions now!! Also found out what the clicking on the flight stick was. That stupid C-sleeve piece had gotten cock-eyed under the dust washer and was getting caught and pinched every once in a while. All is good.
