I'm in need of advice on how to find the value of my Tron Arcade machine and how to go about selling it. I'm new to this site and to using forums. -Keith

The cabinet is in very good condition, it has some wear on side decals. All lights work. The sound is a slight bit scatchy.

If you are looking to cash in on the Tron craze and squeeze every last dime out of it don't waste your or our time here, put it on Greedbay. If you're looking to get fair value, I'm guessing in the $500 to $1000 range depending on condition (I assume working).

Now that's just mean, the new guy is asking an honest question. Haha.

I'd imagine a working Tron in good condition would be:

eBay = $1000+
Craigslist = $1000+
Self-respecting Collector Value = $600-700
KLOV (aka Cheap Bastard) Value = $500 or below

I could be off though since I've never owned a Tron or plan on buying one in the near future. Just from what I've seen. Any experts care to chime in?

Tron value

great looking Tron--makes me want to get mine up and running--as it sits --700-900 would be my estimate--with new side art should put it around 1000.00--

I'd say around $750 as it sits...

Someone was selling one around here the other day and it still sits at $550 or something like that. Your top dollar will be from E-bay, but don't waste your time like the others at $2k starting. If you start at $700-750, you'll get some bites and the bidding will go up from there.

One in worse shape than that just sold local to me for about $950 on eBay. If you want maximum value, put it on eBay. Do it now, because 6 months after the movie is released, these will be back to their normal price.

Okay, so why "imagine". You can actually look up the prices of completed auctions on ebay and know EXACTLY what they sell for there.

Here are the most recent completed Tron auctions on eBay-

$600 min bid, mostly working but with issues - no bids

$700 min bid, no bids

$760 in 9 bids, but didn't sell because he had a higher reserve

Those last two were fully working in pretty nice (but not minty) condition.

So it sounds like ebay BUYERs think Tron is worth less than $800, but sellers think it's worth $800 or more.

Here is one that sold for $965 local to me. I spoke to the seller and the winning bidder also paid for shipping. The seller was expecting to get $200 for it and wasn't aware of the new movie until he did some research after the price started climbing. I guess it's hit or miss on eBay.
