Recently, Bruce Boxleitner, the actor who plays Tron and Alan Bradley in both Tron films, made an appearance at a comic convention. A few lucky people got the chance to see him, and of course, he was inevitably asked if he knew anything about another Tron sequel. He didn't reveal a lot, as expected, but in a single sentence, revealed enough about what's gonna go down plot-wise. Apparently, the villain will be Ed Dillinger Jr., the son of the first movie's main antagonist, portrayed by Cillian Murphy- who played the character briefly for a few minutes in "Tron: Legacy".

The convention-goer who talked to Bruce asked him: "So, what do you know about TRON 3?" To which he replied: "Oh, I know a lot about Tron 3."

"When do things kick into gear?"

"We get the ball rolling next year, I believe."

"What do you know about the plot?"

"Oh.. let's just say, Cillian Murphy doesn't do cameos."

There's your brief update on what's going down with TRON 3. Don't forget to talk to me, OscarGungan, and DiscWarrior over at Tron-Sector, or on the official "TR3N LIVES" facebook page. We're still giving positions on the team to those willing to lend a helping hand to the cause. There's still alot that needs to be done before we can begin the campaign, so any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

END OF LINE.

Ok not to beat a dead horse on Tron 3... IF it is coming.

My cousin works for Disney Corp and this is what he tells me.

"So Tron... I haven't heard anything, except they are creating a series for Cartoon Network or Disney that tajes place before Legacy & looks really cool - it has the feel of Clone Wars & has some great talent attached.
If you want though, I can do some digging and see what I can find out."

That is a good read and his comments make sense. Cillian Murphy is too big of an actor to just do a simple cameo. I'm sure it might have been the case if the movie COMPLETELY tanked, but it didn't.

Nice to have someone on the inside. Something like this will definitely stir up a little more interest in a sequel.
