Hopefully he can handle it. I wonder what it is with Disney and taking unknowns and having them put together stuff for TRON (with exception to the Legacy writers). I hope in T3 that the computer universe is a bit more vibrant like the classic was (I know nothing will ever look like classic did but they could have used more surreal stuff and more colors than mainly black, blue and orange)
Tron is not done yet....not if these two have anything to say about it......

Doesn't Phet have one of those red shirts?
There's a big difference between hiring a writer to write a draft of a script and greenlighting the movie.
Typically projects like this have loads of writers, some credited and some brought in to doctor the script. I am sure Tron Legacy went through all kinds of rewrites, and in the years leading up to its production there were many scripts written. I believe they actually had to go back and rewrite after the movie had been shot and a then reshot part of the movie because the execs were not happy with it. This is pretty common for a lot of big studio movies.
I'd think a Tron sequel script would have to be something the execs were very happy with before they'd commit the money to make and market another one of these. I'm not saying it won't happen, but until the cameras are rolling nothing is certain.
