Cabinet has no power what so ever. Funny thing is that its a mess. The harness looks hacked but I cant tell. So I tried to plug it in and after no power i tried to replace the switcher. I noticed there were 3 wires hooked up, white whire (ac) green wire (gnd) and a blue wire (+12). reconnected and no dice!! Then noticed a blue wire comming from the iso transformer, any ideas guys? This thing is in nice shape just needs cleaned inside and out and then Im going to figure out what to do with it.

Bump, anyone have any clue? heres pics of the mess. notice the rally x parts in there lol

you only have one ac wire hooked up to the power supply. It should be a black wire, but it could be that blue one, might want to see where that blue one that isn't hooked up comes from. Either way you need to get 120 volts to the 2 AC inputs on the switcher. oh and if you want anything to work a fuse or 2 might help.

It was working fine before without the fuses, thats whats odd, also The other blue wire thats not hooked up is comming from the iso transformer as I posted above. Thats why I am so lost, besides, rally x parts in a trivia wars cocktail? lmfao also any idea what fuses go in the fuse block? it was working without it before but just to put them in and be safe and proper lol.

Okay that part of the old stuff must not be used in the conversion then. Looks like you have quite a mess there, and there is really no way to tell from the pics whats what. All I am saying is that you need to have some kind of 120v AC (usually a black and a white wire) hooked to the switching power supply in order for it to work, that is electricity 101.

If it were me I would rip everything out and re-wire, salvaging as much of the old harness as possible, but for sure redoing the ac wiring.

well there is a blue wire and a blue and white wire nothing else is there no black wires that even have white stripes at all. the blue wire with white stripe is comming direct from iso transformer so where does that go?

okay so now the cab has power and everything works, dont know what happened but it just mysteriously started working. now the screen is purple and the pcb seems inop. so im thinking 60-1 with this amazingly dirty cocktail. its not worth saving or making it back into what it was as I have no idea what it was in the first place lol
