Ya I tried the triple thick on my backglass and well some areas were real smooth and some of the triple thick was rough and a bit bumpy. All I wanted was to seal the art from flaking so hope I accomplished that, did I? I did this 10 months ago and did not do the "cling wrap". Some one had touched up in gray paint the 2 spots that were flaking on my glass and it looks bad but I wanted to know can I still get it off using an razor blade and use the right color for the area? I triple thicked over it so can I scrape it off without any issues? Thanks

Well... since I just did my first TT... the next thing I will be doing is touch up. When I do, I will read this http://www.pinrepair.com/restore/index1.htm .. specifically the section titled "Touch-up the Backglass ".

I don't see why you couldn't remove what doesn't match and start over... there are a few things to consider though. Fortunately for me, I don't have to be concerned with "opacity" because the majority of my damage is not where the backlighting shows through.

Ya it seems they took the paint off and to fill the blank spot with gray, the color in the area is light blue, the gray sticks out, but the 2 spots are a bit smaller then a kernel of corn. I seen your Charlie's angels and what a great job on it. Did the triple thick go on clear and smooth or was there some rough spots?

It's rough in some spots. I only did 2 coats of TT, the first was sort of light, and I used cling wrap which left a texture. I am not an experienced spray-painter either. It's not too rough to paint though. I probably won't do that for awhile. It needs a lot of other stuff. It wasn't taken care of at all.

I would just leave it personally. You could probably fix it but making it worse will be much easier. The time to fix it was before applying the triple thick.

Ya it's not REAL bad and seems I'am the only one who does notice it, figures huh. I was cautious on scraping the gray before I TT'd it, so I just left it. Thought I'd check with you pro's, and I listen to what Lindsey always says and if you say "leave it " I will do that. Thanks
