Took the family to the Old Butterfly lounge on Vandyke and 13 mile over the weekend. I think it's the Vandyke Sports Center now. Really a pool hall, arcade.

I was pleasantly surprised at the place, we went early no people. They had a decent collection of pinball machines, all were working. I was taken back at the sight of games that must have been there since there conception. They had a couple Ms. Pacmans just worn to the wood and played reather well, beat up a little. Centipede, Millipede, both in dedicated cabs played great. All played for only .25 it was kind of cool. We played for hours, it was like going back in time for a moment.

Did the kids (if you have any) stay interested? Not many "real" places left that can take you back like you describe.

I have never been out there, but I hear it is a pretty cool place. I have heard you want to get there early as it can get a little rowdy at night. Sounds like I need to head out there some night and drop some quarters.

Actually Robran68 and I were just talking about maybe getting some KLOVer's and meeting up there soon. It's pretty much a pool hall with a larger arcade and bar. Kids were interested yeah, but they like the 4credit games which they have plenty of, couple air hockey tables.

It is not a place I would be comfortable at night anymore, a day gathering would be good.

There were no Stargates,Jousts a few multigames. But as far as originals, Galaga, couple very aged Ms. Pacmans,Centipede, Millipede, they had a 3 in one Missile Command, Millipede, and Centipede.

Cool place to check out

I wish there were arcades like that around here... The only arcade that even exists here anymore is at the D&B, and not only is that drive over an hour away (one way), but they "update" their games every few months, replacing the older ones that I like.

It's a shame, because it seems that the newer the games get, the less interested I become.

They also have a about 15 or so pins which IIRC include a Theatre of Magic.

Yeah,

We have a D&B here and it's cool. They have a couple multigames but mainly the newer ones. I do like them too, but I just don't get the same feeling as standing at a Galaga.

It's more of a casino feel there than an arcade.

Yes,

They have some nice pins there, they had two Batmans,Terminator 3,Family guy,Sopranos,Adams Family, a bunch of others and all working!!!

We found it a bit difficult from the glare on some of the pins, but it was very cool.

I had to be forced to leave by family!! I didn't want to go Lol
